Best of cabins.

We are well on our way to winter, and I’m getting excited about ski season!  Over the years, we’ve stayed in many ski houses and cabins in the woods, but nothing like these:

Here are some ideas I have to make your place feel like a cozy cabin retreat.
Flameless candles are a great way to get flickering candlelight without worrying about remembering to blow them out before you go to bed or leave the house.  Many you can set on a timer to automatically go on and off.

Books are nostalgic and make you want to curl up and get engrossed in their pages.  Fabulous for a relaxing escape.

Flannel is perfect for upholstering a comfy chair, sheets on your bed, or covers for throw pillows on your sofa.  This flannel is made of organic cotton!

The faux fur throws on the market now are inexpensive and provide luxurious warmth.

Leather is the most durable upholstery you can get.  Look for top grain leather.

You either love them or hate them.  I love.

There’s no better way to pass time when you’re snowed in than with a loooong game of Monopoly.

A crackling fire really makes it feel like winter.

No one should be without these.  They are the best.
