Back in the States.

We're back from Italy, and the hundereds of photos have been uploaded from our camera.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to capture the highlights form our trip.

I will continue to share more Italian inspiration with you in the coming weeks (wait until you read about the delicious food we ate!), but here's a quick breakdown of the wonderful time we spent abroad:

We drove through the Tuscan country to get to our villa.

We ventured to San Gimignano, a medieval city at the top of a hill with phenomenal views.

Certaldo was much quieter but just as beautiful.  What better to do than drink wine when things are quiet during reposa?

A fabulous view of Florence from the top of the Duomo.

A view of one of the towns on our cinque terre hike was well worth the thousands of stairs.

The Sienna Cathedral was one of my favorite sites.
We biked through the country to get to a winery and olive oil factory.

And of course Rome, the perfect end of an adventurous vacation.

Now if only I didn't have to deal with jet lag....  I've been awake since 5 AM!   Ahhh!
