Cinque terre means five villages. Along the western Italian coast, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monteroso, and Levanto make up this precious piece of paradise. We spent a whole day hiking, boating, and training to each village. It truly was one of the best days, and we soaked up all the picturesque beauty minute by minute.
Nestled between the steep hills and brightly hued homes are surrounded by grape vines, olive branches, and other vegetables. It is so difficult to make a living in one of these villages that the govern will actually give you a piece of land for free for you to cultivate. All profits are yours to keep.
