It's that time of year again: skiing in the North East. It's really hit or miss here, but when it's a hit nothing is better than driving up north late on Friday night for a weekend on the slopes.
I think designing a ski house would be such a fun project. The need to create a comfy and cozy atmosphere around a hearth, and the freedom to get whimsical. I think I'd get a few raised eyebrows from professors if I tried to uses an antler chandelier in a school design project.
Earthy textures, comfortable atmosphere, and a touch extravagant... my favorite design aesthetic.
