If you've been reading, you are well aware of the fact that G. and I have been working on a built in bookcase for our living room. We are getting there, little by little. Here is a recent pic of the bookcase.
Doors need to go on the lower cabinet, and moulding will be attached to the sides. One feature I think is genius (thanks to my creative FIL, who is also our carpenter)
is that all of the unsightly wires and cords from our TV, cable box,
and speakers tuck out of sight in the slit between the shelf and wall.
The lower cabinet also perfectly fits serving pieces and kitchen
electronics, keeping them dust free very soon. Once the snow in our
driveway is melted enough to back a truck in, there is still lots left
to do. I'm so excited to see how it turns out.
