Take me away Tuesday: 137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai..

It wouldn't be a week about Thailand without highlighting one of their amazing boutique hotels. The 137 Pillars House is the epitome of old world elegance and luxury in Chiang Mai, Thailand. You can read more about Chiang Mai in tomorrow's post, because today I am sharing this piece of paradise:

Welcome to 137 Pillars House.
A lush backdrop to a quiet place for rest and reflection.
A welcoming claw foot tub stands upon ornate tiles. Clean white shutters provide privacy and natural light.
The architecture celebrates traditional Thai teak.
The small collection of vintage photographs that the hotel has allows a peak into its past life.
A detail illustrating contrast-my favorite design vocabulary word.
A ceiling height grasscloth headboard further grounds the four poster bed and creates an intimate place to sleep.
Outdoor showers are private but remain open to nature.
Another lovely tub.
Aqua on teak... lovely.
