The yummiest week of the year.

I feel that it’s only appropriate to pay homage to Thanksgiving this week by posting only about food.  This week I will try to give you great recipes to share with family and friends during the holiday season, or hog for yourself:)  I’m not promising healthy, but absolutely delicious!

Recipe No.1:
Blueberry Bubble Over

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Grease a baking dish with butter.  Pour in 1 can of blueberry pie filling.

Chop 2 cans of pears (in light syrup or pear juice) and add on top of blueberry pie filling.

Evenly spread 1 box of yellow cake mix on top of the fruit.

Cube 1 stick of unsalted butter and distribute on cake mix.  (Don’t cheat on the butter!  I’ve tried, and it doesn’t come out good.  The top will burn really fast!)  Cover a baking sheet with foil and put under the baking dish in the oven.  You’ll be really glad you did this when your baking dish overflows with gooey blueberry pie filling and you don’t have to clean it off your oven.  Bake for 1 hour.

Try not to dig in before you let it cool for a few minutes.  Enjoy with vanilla ice cream.
